We love 'Show and Tell'...

Before the half term holiday and this week, lots of the Elmer children have been enjoying bringing in items from home to talk about in front of their friends.

The children are displaying growing confidence in sharing their own thoughts and are now able to answer a number of questions about the item they have brought in. Thank you to all the children who are bringing things in from home. We were particularly impressed with some of the models children have made at home as part of our Learning Log tasks and shared with us during Show and Tell! We also love hearing about your experiences, such as trips to the park or fun trips to the seaside. 

Well done Elmers! 

Week 2 - Enjoying the outdoors 

The children have enjoyed spending lots of time outside this week. We are so lucky to have such a lovely outdoor area with lots of resources. The children have enjoyed accessing our large climbing frame, using equipment such as balls and skipping ropes and riding bikes. 

Lots of us have also loved accessing a range of construction, small world and mark making. We are all having so much fun and making excellent progress! 

Getting ready for Summer 

The children have had a very active week. We have spent lots of time accessing outdoor play due to the glorious weather! 

The children have also enjoyed getting creative using a range of materials for our 'Summer' display. The children have made bees, flowers and butterflies using different materials. The work that has been produced has been amazing.

Making paper aeroplanes...

The Elmers have shown a great interest in making paper aeroplanes over the past couple of weeks. 

This week we decided to make the planes and test how far they could fly outside. We had lots of fun. Some of our planes travelled long distances, some went high up into the air! 

Playing with friends

During our time in Nursery we have all made strong friendships. The children are now so confident in playing with others, communicating with one another and enjoy playing as part of a group. 

This week we have made the most of the amazing weather! We have loved playing together in the sunshine...

Foundation 2 here we come...

The Elmers are having a great time celebrating our last weeks in Nursery. This week we had our graduation ceremony where we got to where we got to wear special hats, party clothes and recieved a special certificate from Mr Fisher. We also sang a special song for our families who watched us during the ceremony. The song we sang is called 'Foundation 2 here we come. All of the children sang beautifully!

We are all so proud of you!!! The Elmers have had a brilliant year. We all have made amazing progress, shared lots of wonderful experiences together and loved learning!
