Good morning lovely folks. This week we will look at a different story everyday! Today we will look at one chapter from Mary Poppins by PL Travers. The book is quite different to the film and this chapter shows some special powers Mary has which are not in the beloved movie. For those who don't know about Mary Poppins, the story is set around 100 years ago in London and is about a magical nanny called Mary Poppins who flies in on her umbrella and looks after the children at 17 Cherry Tree Lane. Sit back and enjoy listening to this chapter and then try some of the activities below.
Howdy all! Today we will look at the brilliant The Sneetches book by the wonderful Dr Seuss. This story is all about prejudice, being very careful with money but also working together and having hope.
Put these pictures in order and retell the story in your own words using these images!

Today we are going to look at story telling. It would be super if you could tell your adults and friends some fantastic stories over the summer holidays. You all have incredible and vivid imaginations so please share them! You have complete control of where your story is set, who the characters are and what happens. It could be a pirate adventure which ends with the discovery of treasure! It could be a thrilling story where a dragon comes to school or about the day in the life of your pet rabbit! It is up to you. Please watch below where I show you how story cubes can be a fun way of creating a tall tale and freeing your imagination.
