Week of Monday 6th July

Poetry: A Superhero sends a letter home.

I hope you've all had a fantastic weekend. Let's start with -Wow. Well I heard you really enjoyed the Wimbledon text last week and I hope you've all had chance to have a practice at some tennis!

For this weeks learning we will be reading a poem by Paul Cookson in a form of a letter written by a superhero who is having some bad luck.

Before you read the poem and start this weeks Guided Reading tasks watch the video below to recap some figurative language and how to write a fun poem.

There is only one text to choose from this week and as always there are 3 tasks for you to complete. Remember to spread them out throughout the week.

I hope you enjoy this poem as much as I did :)
