Autumn 1

Tudor Design

Last week in Varjak Paws we researched information about designs used in Tudor houses.  We found out about Tudor tiles, mazes

and also a prayer book dating back to 1568 which was recently discovered in a Tudor house. Using the patterns and images from some of these examples, today we created a printing stamp. We're so impressed with the detail in this work - well done! We will be using the stamps to create a repeated pattern using printing inks.

The Terrible Tudors

Varjak Paws have made a brilliant start to their Creative Curriculum topic about the Tudors.  We created a drama to tell the story of The War of the Roses and made some of our own Tudor Roses for our display. The children put so much effort and detail into their story boards to re-tell the events of the story.  Amazing work - well done everyone!
