Spring 2 Week 6
Happy Easter
This week Elmer class have been learning about the festival of Easter. We have made celebration cards, decorated egg pictures, hunted for small eggs with tweezers & hunted for eggs in the nursery garden.
Spring 2 Week 5
This week we have been using the Interactive Whiteboard to write & draw pictures. We have improved our skills & can now select the many features on the board independently.
Spring 2 Week 4
Red Nose Day 2021
We've had a lovely day celebrating Red nose day in our red outfits. We made red windy sticks, red nose faces, listened to & told jokes & had red nose & spoon races in the nursery garden. Keeping the noses on the spoons was very tricky!
Spring 2 Week 3
We have had a lovely World Book Day today, with some amazing costumes & lots of stories throughout the day. We enjoyed an extra story time with Mrs Jinkinson & her monkey friend.
Spring 2 Week 2
This week Elmer class have been reading the story Jasper's Beanstalk & learning all about planting. We have been using some fragrant herbs to add to our 'cooking' in the mud kitchen, planting some spring flowers in the nursery garden, talking about what plants need to grow & planting seeds to grow our very own beanstalk just like Jasper (& Jack from last week).
Spring 2 Week 1
Welcome back to the second half of the Spring term. Our next theme is Amazing Adventures & our starting point for this half term is Let's Grow.
This week we have been reading Jack & the Beanstalk & doing some beanstalk themed activities. We've made beanstalk models, built stalk towers with numicon & created our own giant beanstalk with numbered leaves to measure how many leaves tall Elmer class are.
