Spring 2

The Kensukes had a fantastic time taking part in a Science workshop at King Edward VII school! We learnt a lot about circuits and had so much fun too

The Kensukes have been thoroughly enjoying our learning about North America! Today, we learnt about OS Maps and grid references. We applied this knowledge to a map of Canada, using 4 figure grid references in order to describe the location of major cities.

We've celebrated World Book Day today in the Kensuke class! With our theme of Bedtime Stories, some children came dressed as book characters and some in their pyjamas ready for a story!Well done Kensukes!

Day 3 at Kingswood and our final day. We had a laser challenge and a bouldering session - lots of fun to finish of a fabulous residential. Well done Year 6!

What a fantastic time we have had making volcanoes this week! First, we created the base and structure using recycled paper and a bottle. We then used mod-rock to construct it, After drying and painting them, all was left was to do our explosions! You can see the results below!

See below for our volcano eruptions...

We made amazing balloon powered cars, using junk modelling, wheels, axles and a straw!

We've had a fab week at school! We really enjoyed making slime and concocting our perfect slime recipe. We even added lots of glitter too!

Day 2 at Kingswood and what a fabulous day we have all had! From the dizzy heights of the climbing wall to the exhilarating drop of the 3G swing, more amazing food and the shaky top of the All Aboard platform topped off with a mud bath on the Night Line! Today has been truly action packed and all the children have definitely made Walkley staff proud. Amazing!

Day 1 at Kingswood - archery, lovely food and a campfire. Now ready for a good night's sleep in preparation for more fun tomorrow!
