Spring Term 2

Well done to the Storm whales for an excellent science experiment. Please ask your child if their lunch box design was water proof and could protect the sushi from seagull attacks (3 nerf gun darts!)

Many of us are in the midst of writing poetry inspired by Kit Wright's wonderful poem 'The Magic Box'. We will share the work later on, but please have a listen to this tremendous poem now to realise why your child has been talking about Lake Lucerne and three wishes spoken in gujarati!

In PE the children have been practising some athletics skills such as relay races and ball skills

In Maths we've been serving up some interesting pizzas, using our fractions knowledge...

We've been doing lots of art recently.... the children enjoyed hearing 'The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch' and drawing their own lighthouse. They also made masks for their films using collage.

We've had a very fun week making films for a lonely yeti...the children have worked very hard writing their own script, rehearsing and also making masks and scenery.

We're all so happy to be back and the children have been absolutely brilliant. Here are some photos from our World Book Day. They were lucky to have a book read to them by Elsa! 'Jackanory' style and remotely of course...

This week we've been making ocean/environmental themed board games. Take a look!

This week we've been helping a lonely yeti who is struggling to make friends. The children are planning their own video to send to the yeti with advice to help him. Here is an example video from my series 'Life advice for yetis'....
