Today we are going to look at division in maths. We will look at a key skill of division which is sharing in equal groups. We do this all the time at home and know how to divide things fairly so remember it is nothing new. Please have a look at me sharing these lego figures equally. Could you get some objects and share them too? We would love to see photos of your work and thank you again for all the work submitted to google forms!

Grouping

Today we are looking at the division skill of grouping which we are not so familiar with. When we group, we know how many are in each group but we need to find out how many groups there are in total. We must be very organised and use columns and rows.

An example of grouping step by step
