Spring 2
World Book Day!
We introduced our focus author, Laura Ellen Anderson and looked at two of her fantastic books; Rainbow Grey and Evil Emperor Penguin. We then created our own Weatherlings with different weather types. The children produced some absolutely fantastic, creative work!

Computing
We are learning about databases and created our own animal branching charts.
The Aslans did brilliantly, asking some amazing questions to sort their animals.
Science
We had a busy afternoon planting and carrying out investigations. We are trying to grow a bean ‘hydroponically’ which means without soil. We planted sunflower seeds and we planned an investigation to see how well plants transport water.
DT
In DT we have made our brilliant boxes. We carefully measured and drew nets, scored, folded and glued it all together to create our 3D boxes! We then decorated the boxes and they turned out fantastically!
Geography
In geography we used our researching skills to find out what resources humans get from rainforests, and how rainforests help the planet.
