Friends of Walkley Primary School (FOW)
Friends of Walkley Primary School is a dedicated group of parents, carers, staff and community members who work together to support and enhance the experience for all children at the school.
This volunteer-led group organises fundraising events, social activities, and initiatives that help provide additional resources and opportunities not covered by the school’s regular budget. From school fairs and discos to bake sales and sponsored challenges, the Friends of Walkley Primary School foster a strong sense of community while making a positive impact on the lives of pupils.
Their efforts not only raise essential funds but also strengthen connections between families, the school, and the wider community.
The funds raised by Friends of Walkley Primary School have been used to reduce the cost of trips (internal and external) and this has been seen across all year groups. For example, Early Years, Foundation and Year 1 visited the Space Dome, Year 2 accessed the Virtual Reality Science Workshop and all of Key Stage 1 visited the Mobile Farm that Visited Walkley Primary. Just to name a few!
Friends of Walkley Primary School is open to anybody and we always love having new members join. Please speak to one of us in the photo below, or speak to or email Mr Clements via enquiries@walkley.sheffield.sch.uk
