  • Thank You Parents

Fri 26 Jun 2026 Mr Wallis

We would like to thank our fabulous parents for your fan donations and fundraising to purchase fans for our classrooms. Children have really benefitted from them. We are definitely better prepared for the next heatwave that comes our way.

  • Yellow Heat Health Alert

Mon 22 Jun 2026 Mr Wallis

    Dear Parents and Carers,

You will know that the UK Health Security Agency has issued amber weather warnings as temperatures are set to be high. The approach recommended by the DfE is the approach we will be taking which is to plan in advance to keep everyone safe. As such Year 4s planned trip to Rivelin Valley on Wednesday has been cancelled. Please do support school by ensuring your children arrive to school prepared for the rise in temperatures. We recommend the following:

    • Please ensure your children bring sun hats and water bottles to school.

    • Ensure they have applied sun cream before they leave for school.

    • Dress children in lightweight and suitable clothing for this weather.

We will share the following guidance with pupils over the coming days:

What you can do to keep cool

    • Keep hydrated. Make sure you keep your water bottle full and drink regularly.
    • Make sure you have applied sun cream and wear a sun hat outside.
    • Wear loose, light fitting clothes rather than your sweatshirt.
    • Remain calm and walk not run.
    • At break and lunchtime, make use of shaded areas if outside.

What we will do to help you keep cool

    • We will have indoor play at lunchtime if required.
    • We will monitor exposed areas such as Tennyson Yard and close if necessary.
    • We will take regular hydration breaks in class and encourage all pupils to drink water.
    • We will encourage pupils to go to covered areas when outside.
    • We will open windows, close blinds and plan lessons carefully.

We will monitor our mitigations during the day and adapt accordingly. Thank you in advance for your support and cooperation. Kind regards,

  • Curriculum Newsletters for Summer Term 2 now available on the school website

Fri 05 Jun 2026 Mr Wallis

    Dear Parents/carers

The teachers in each cohort have prepared a Curriculum Newsletter to share the learning intentions for Summer Term 2 with you. They will update you with a new Newsletter at the start of each half term. Newsletters can be found on your child’s Class Page on the School Website, in the Curriculum Newsletter page. The Curriculum Newsletters will remain on the website for your reference throughout the year.

We hope they continue to give you an insight into the learning taking place for your child, in different subjects. If you have any questions, do please get in touch.

Also, children’s Learning Menus from Y1 to Y6 are also available on the Home Learning page.

We thank you for your continued support.

    Kind regards

    Mr Wallis

  • New Online Safety Partnership and Monthly Parent Newsletters

Wed 03 Jun 2026 Mr Wallis

    Dear Parents and Carers,

I am pleased to share that our school is partnering with Knowsley City Learning Centres CLCs to strengthen our provision for online safety and digital resilience.

From this month, we will send you a short monthly newsletter covering current online issues relevant to primary-aged pupils, as well as a short video that supports the monthly theme. Each monthly Newsletter to parents will:

    •  Offer clear, practical guidance you can use at home

    •  Be suitable for older siblings and helpful for secondary school readiness

    •  Include advice on safe and responsible online use for adolescents

All newsletters and accompanying videos will be collated on our school website’s Online Safety pages, so you can access them at any time. Please use the link above to find the latest and previous editions:

    Why this matters

    •  Children’s online experiences change quickly; our aim is to keep families informed and confident.

    •  Guidance will align with our safeguarding approach, the RSHE and computing curriculums, and national expectations for online safety.

    How you can help

    •  Read the monthly newsletter and, where helpful, watch the short video together as a family.

    •  Talk with your child about the key tips; small, regular conversations make the biggest difference.

    •  Contact us if you have questions or need support specific to your child.

We look forward to working with you and the Knowsley CLCs to keep our children safe, informed, and ready for the next stage of their online life.
