Dear Parents and Carers,
I am pleased to share that our school is partnering with Knowsley City Learning Centres CLCs to strengthen our provision for online safety and digital resilience.
From this month, we will send you a short monthly newsletter covering current online issues relevant to primary-aged pupils, as well as a short video that supports the monthly theme. Each monthly Newsletter to parents will:
• Offer clear, practical guidance you can use at home
• Be suitable for older siblings and helpful for secondary school readiness
• Include advice on safe and responsible online use for adolescents
All newsletters and accompanying videos will be collated on our school website’s Online Safety pages, so you can access them at any time. Please use the link above to find the latest and previous editions:
Why this matters
• Children’s online experiences change quickly; our aim is to keep families informed and confident.
• Guidance will align with our safeguarding approach, the RSHE and computing curriculums, and national expectations for online safety.
How you can help
• Read the monthly newsletter and, where helpful, watch the short video together as a family.
• Talk with your child about the key tips; small, regular conversations make the biggest difference.
• Contact us if you have questions or need support specific to your child.
We look forward to working with you and the Knowsley CLCs to keep our children safe, informed, and ready for the next stage of their online life.
