  • Breakfast Club Survey 23/24

Fri 23 Jun 2023 Mr Wallis

In order to organise staffing, required funding and provision for the restart of Breakfast Club in September, we need information from parents about how many children will be requiring the service. School purchase food and staffing based on accurate numbers of pupils.

Each day, Breakfast club has a capacity of 80 pupils. It is our hope that Breakfast Club will continue to provide our families that need it a free Breakfast each morning for each of their children, as well as support to our working families who have difficulties with wrap-around care.

If parents would like to support the service with monetary donations to Breakfast club this can be done via the Main Office, these would be gratefully received. We do receive some sponsored funding from Greggs the Bakers but to maintain our school inclusivity values, WPS commit to subsidising a top up to ensure a free service to parents.

We will be using a register and booking system for Breakfast Club from September so please answer the questions as accurately as you can. Availability of the service on your requested days is subject to overall applications and numbers.

Please complete this survey to enable us to establish registers for Breakfast Club: This form will close on Friday 7th July

    Breakfast Club Survey 2023/2024

COMPLETING THIS SURVEY IS NOT A GUARANTEE OF A PLACE AT BREAKFAST CLUB ON THE DAYS REQUESTED. Confirmation of your registered days will be emailed to you before the end of the school holidays. Breakfast Club will reopen for those registered on Wednesday 6th September 2023.

IN ORDER FOR THIS TO BE A SERVICE THAT SUPPORTS AS MANY FAMILIES AS POSSIBLE, PLEASE ONLY SELECT THE DAYS THAT YOU REQUIRE BREAKFAST CLUB. ANY SPACE ASKED FOR NOW BUT NOT USED IN THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR IS A SPACE THAT SOMEONE WHO NEEDS IT CANNOT USE.

If there is a pattern of absence for registered places and they are unused, parents will be informed that the place is to be offered to others on the waiting list to ensure fairness to everyone.

IMPORTANT: PLEASE COMPLETE A SEPARATE FORM FOR EACH OF YOUR CHILDREN.

  • Join us for lunch on Sports Day

Fri 23 Jun 2023 Mr Wallis

This year, ‘Sports Day’ will be held on Wednesday 12th July, weather permitting. Our pupils in EYFS and Key Stage 1 will have their events in the morning; our Key Stage 2 pupils in the afternoon.

The EYFS and KS1 sports morning will involve traditional races and will take place on the Front and Top yard in front of the Reception classes. Parents are very welcome to attend.

We would like to invite parents/carers (weather permitting!) to join us for a picnic lunch on the bank between the sporting events to create a community feel. Classes of Reception and Key stage 1 children will be escorted back to the bank at 11.30. Children can either bring their own packed lunch or order a grab bag sandwich meal as usual on the morning register. No cooked meal choices will be available on this day. Children can then sit with their parents/carers to eat lunch (adults may want to bring their own packed lunch!) or with their class if parents cannot join us. Children will then return to their classes at approximately 12:15 for the remainder of their lunch break and afternoon lessons.

Parents who have children in Key stage 2 are welcome at this time to join the Key stage 2 children for lunch on the Tennyson Field; classes of key stage two children will be escorted to the Tennyson field at 12:15 with their packed lunches or grab bags. Children can then sit with their parents/carers to eat lunch or with their class if parents cannot join us. Children will then return to their classes to prepare for the events and allow the field to be set up while parents/carers make themselves comfortable in the viewing area until the KS2 events begin at 1:10p.m.

It should make for a wonderful day!
