Last week we finished reading the book ‘Floodland’ by Marcus Sedgwick. We created freeze-frames of important events in the book, thinking about different characters’ thoughts and feelings.
We worked in groups to create feelings thermometers for our classroom Zones of Regulation display.
In History this week we had a Henry VIII identity parade! We looked at lots of different portraits, looking for the real Henry VIII, only to discover that they were all him! We discussed the reliability of different sources of information and how Henry VIII would want himself to be portrayed.
In computing we have been learning about systems and computer networks. We identified input and output devices as well as labelling parts of a computer system.
Our PE focus this half term is fitness! We have had lots of fun in PE developing our skipping skills.
Welcome back Hiccups! I hope you had a lovely break. We have started off our new English unit this week by looking at Rudyard Kipling’s Just So Stories. Today we used the SEAT acronym to help us add characterisation and detail to direct speech.
