As part of our hydration drive we have been learning why drinking water is so good for us.

In art we have loved doing printing

Whilst doing of frog we have been exploring our rhyming words. We are great at rhyming animals with other objects.

In science we went on our nature walk and discovered the trees are starting to grow buds. We could also see snow drops starting to grow.

We loved having a tennis coach come in for our PE today! We played fun games and practised tennis skills.

100 class wide rewards! With forest school being too muddy after the heavy rain we decided to celebrate our 100 class wide rewards with a Lego party!

In English this week our new unit is firefighters. We are reading the non-fiction book ‘Lifesavers’. We did a freeze frame to act out roles if a firefighter. We shared a sentence to describe what they are doing. Can you spot what they are doing?

We loved forest school today! We practised our current maths skills, we have a teen number which we had to make. We could use a stick for a ‘ten’ and leaves or small sticks for the ones. Which numbers did you make and can you explain the tens and ones?

In art this week we have experimented with printing with stamps and learning how to do rubbings of items such as leaves and coins using wax crayons. Can you have a go at home?

This term in art we are learning about printing and the artist Escher. We experimented with printing and made tessellating shape patterns too. Can you have a go at home?
