Forest School
We made three houses just like the three little pigs did and the wolf tried to blow them down. We also played a game where we had to get across the field, but we couldn't step out of a hoop.
We did some P.E in Forest School.
We collected stick from the forest and then painted them so they became wands.
We had hot chocolate outside. It was very tasty!
Star Group
We read a book all about the life of Georgia O'Keeffe. Then, we acted out a section of the story.
Reading Buddies
We met our reading buddies again and had a lovely time reading with them.
Computing
We made branch databases. We selected 6 items for a certain category and divided them to fit our branch database.
P.E
Our new topic for this term is sending and receiving. We learnt to roll a ball correctly and we also learnt how to use our hands and body to stop the ball.
We continued our work on sending and receiving. We learnt how to track a ball and how to always keep moving our feet in case the ball did not come right to us.
Gymnastics
We learnt lots of different gymnastics shapes and then went on the apparatus and practised the shapes we had learnt.
We learnt how to travel at different heights. We used the equipment to show how we travelled.
History
We learnt about Emeline Pankhurst and how she helped women get the vote. We made signs and had a protest in the classroom.
Maths
Our learning is all about shape. We used the polydrons to make 3D shapes.
We looked at coins and made different amounts in our piggy banks.
We picked an amount of money and found four different ways to make it.
DT
We made our prototype cars. We learnt where to put the axles and wheels so the car would move smoothly.
We finished our cars. Here they all are.
