Arches Games
What an amazing day we had at the Arches Games! From splashing in the pool, to showing off our moves in Parkour, everyone gave it their all with a range of activities from golf, tag-rugby, cycling, boxing, basketball, stackcups and even cricket!
The sun was blazing, but that didn’t slow us down! A huge well done to all the children for giving their everything all day. You made us all proud with your teamwork, enthusiasm, and determination.

Introducing Selfie sticks!
A new addition to the Hiccups class - selfie sticks!
Every lesson, children will have the opportunity to peg a selfie stick onto their work if they are proud of it.
Their work will then be photographed and uploaded here!
Week 3
Forest School
We had a selection of activities for our second Forest School session based on Climate change: "Poetree" writing, a Bee themed scavenger hunt, and seed bomb making!
Our DT unit this half term is textiles. In forest school, we used hitch knots and lashing to tie together frames using sticks, then used these frames to do some natural weaving! We were very impressed with the end results!
RE
In RE we looked at different Humanist beliefs, sorting them in different ways. We discussed how they relate to other religious beliefs
Geography
In Geography we discussed the impacts of Climate Change. We created paper chains to show how different effects and impacts are linked

Week 1
Home Learning
The last book we read was called Beautiful Useful Things - we discussed how things could be both beautiful and useful, Here are some beautiful and useful eggs!
Literacy
Our current English unit is focused on the Solar System. In Guided reading we used our retrieval skills to create Top Trumps cards on the planets. In English we did a scavenger to hunt to find lots of interesting facts about the solar system!
Maths
Here is some maths work we are proud of!
Spanish
We wrote our own verses to the song ‘The Music Man’ in Spanish!
DT
In DT we evaluated different types of bags, in preparation to design our own bags!
