Autumn 1
Week 3
The children have been writing about their summer holidays. In order for them to edit their work, they need to be able to read it again. Reading their work out loud can impress upon them, the need for good presentation, including finger spaces and good letter formation.
Week 2
This term, our PE will be dance with Amy on Fridays and Invasion games on Mondays. This week, the children were learning how to pass the ball to their team and avoid an opponent.
Week 1
What a fantastic week back!
The children have been very settled and have got into the swing of things straight away. Your child should have had a reading record and home learning book sent home and they have been shown the fabulous prizes they can win for reading regularly.
This week the year 2s have been writing numbers to 100 in order to make their class wide reward posters. They have written their one page profiles and told us all about themselves and what they want to learn this year. In maths, the children are using manipulatives in order to make teen numbers.
