The Sun Kings have had a fabulous start to Year 5! Here we are developing our netball skills. The class showcased some excellent teamwork skills today. Well done Sun Kings!

In science today we have been investigating water resistance! We made boats with different shaped hulls and then sailed them down a channel. We used a weight attached to some wool to ensure the force applied to move the boat was controlled. We measured how long it took for the boat to travel to the end of the channel.

It was an emotional day for the Sun Kings today! We have had to say farewell to a classmate! But, we all wish him a pleasant and safe move back to China! We will miss you!
Maths fun in the forest! Well done Math Superstars!
Today we went to the forest school to build a shaduf A shaduf was used in Ancient Egypt to transfer water for irrigation. We were all successful in creating our structures.

History - Today the Sun Kings recreated mummification in groups. The children will then write instructions on this process!
