Autumn 2

We all had a great time at the Christmas party. Feast your eyes on our feast!

Well done to all of the Burnaby classes for producing superb Christmas performance displays this year. The hype machine is in full gear!

We are doing some coding in computing. Please have a go at this great activity!

The theme for our mantle for this term is, "People who have positively changed the world". We have started with a 6 year old hero called Ruby Bridges who took a stand against segregation in the USA in 1961. The Gruffalos did an excellent job of respectfully retelling her story and acting it out.

Children in Need day! We had a great time and raised lots of money for this amazing charity.

The Gruffalos and Stormwhales had a great morning at Cineworld watching the wonderful, "Mary and the Witch's Flower". The children were superb and enjoyed the tram ride on a glorious autumn day.

The gruffalos were looking at different coin combinations to make 20p and 50p. Please have a look at them filling piggy banks!

Here is the link for the Sneetches cartoon!:

We are studying and writing about the superb Dr Zeus story "The Sneetches" which is teaching us about prejudice and equality. Here are the Gruffalos acting out the story before they make a rap and a letter!

In science this term we are learning about food chains. Here is a great activity to make food chains in woodland and pond habitats.
