Autumn 2

The Aslans took their RE learning up to Forest School. They did a fantastic job of finding out facts about a range of Hindu deities and used this knowledge to complete a quiz.

The Aslans did their best Frida Kahlo impression, with a serious expression, flower headband and Frida's distinctive monobrow. The photos will be used as part of their final piece in Art.

Happy Children in Need Day! The Aslans had lots of fun taking part in the 100 mile cycle challenge and showed great resilience when cycling proved more difficult than it looked! Well done, Aslans!

We have just started our new history unit on the Mayans. The Aslans used drama to think about the conquistadors exploring the Americas and battling their way through dense rainforest, before discovering ancient Mayan ruins.

The Aslans have produced some fantastic cave art. They used torches to explore their art exhibition, imagining what it would be like to uncover early artwork within a cave.

Year 3 have just started looking at column subtraction. They worked in pair to complete calculation including an exchange using a place value chart.
