Autumn 2 Week 7

Our final week in Burnaby building!

In spite of the ever increasing packing crates, we have still managed to have a fabulous, fun & festive week. 

We have printed Menorahs for Hanukkah, decorated real mini trees, wrapped 'presents' & enjoyed being let loose with the glitter & sequins! We also managed an outdoor visit from Father Christmas, who somehow managed to deliver Elmer class' presents, it was so exciting.

We have had a lovely time taking part in Save the Children's Christmas Jumper Day.....

Autumn 2 Wk 5

We have had a very festive week in nursery, trimming the tree, making paper chains & decorating paper Christmas trees to get ready for our Elmer class party. On party day, we wore our Santa hats & party clothes to dance, play games & enjoy party snacks from home. We had a great time with all of our nursery friends.

Autumn 2 Week 4

This week we have been using our creative thinking to make & build. We have used card & tubes to create towers, castles, houses, bridges & ramps for cars. We also used the mark making tools to enhance our models by adding car parking spaces, tracks & numbers.

Autumn 2 Week 3

This week we have been fostering the love of books. We have looked at books independently, shared stories with our friends & told each other tales using puppets or actions. We've also listened to adults reading our favourite stories on the carpet. 

Autumn 2 Week 2

This week we have been learning a little about Remembrance day, Diwali & Children in Need. We have made & displayed poppies, you can see them outside nursery. We watched a clip about celebrating Diwali & made our own rangoli patterns. On Children in Need day we went on a treasure hunt in the forest school, played some active games & stuck some spots on Pudsey. We joined in with a Joe Wicks' P.E. session, which made our hearts beat fast!

Autumn 2 Week 1

Welcome back to the second half of the Autumn term.

This week we have been talking about fireworks, including their colours & the sounds that they make. We have painted a night sky with fireworks, made shape rockets & outside we pretended to build a bonfire & used sticks as sparklers & fireworks.
