Weekly Home Learning activities at Walkley cover a range of curriculum areas:
Reading
We provide early reading materials and scheme books for Reading at home F2 onwards as required. Communication takes place between home and school through the Home-School Reading Record.
We provide reading books for pupils to borrow and read at home.
Spellings
Weekly spellings are introduced in class and practiced at home using Spelling Shed.
Maths
TT Rockstars is used from Year 2 to Year 6 will be used to practice times table facts.
Weekly Google quizzes are set by class teachers accessible through Google classroom. These will be differentiated and provide immediate feedback.
Creative Curriculum
Are set to be completed in a Home Learning book or on Google classroom where appropriate, children will complete 6 weekly tasks that are linked to the new Creative Curriculum theme. Each task sheet will contain at least one opportunity to produce a piece of writing.
