A Magnificent and Plentiful Harvest Thanks to Walkley Parents

Once again the Walkley community has come together to provide a wonderful harvest for those in need of extra support in the coming months. This morning your kind donations were handed over to the S6 foodbank. Thank you so much for your very kind and generous donations. Pupils in school have been treated to a harvest assembly filled with the making of scarecrows, baking cherry pies and making fruit smoothies. All done virtually through Google Meet! The staff also took part in a quiz to gain their class more class-wide rewards.

We are always delighted to support the S6 foodbank. It does such a valuable and important job in our local community. All the way through lockdown and into the new school year we have been able to donate produce that would have been used for Breakfast Club and in the Junk Food Stall on a Friday.

Also in school we have built a food bank of our own available to any parent or Walkley family that need a little bit more. Please call the school office and ask for a member of the pastoral team to call you back in the strictest confidence. We really want to help.

Once again thank you all so much, it truly is an incredible feet at such a challenging time for us all.
