We have enjoyed forest school this week in Anansi class! We have been on a science seasons walk spotting signs of winter and trying to see any little signs of spring coming, keep your eyes peeled for shoots poking through! As part of maths we have made 2 digit numbers using sticks and leaves as tens and ones.
As part of our art project at forest school this week we di drubbing as a type of printing. How many different tree barks did you get?
As part of our art unit we have experimented with 'rubbing' as as type of pritning. The children loved how they could make a magic picture appear by using a wax crayon with a leaf or coin underneath. We also tried rolling objects to print wiht paint. Can you have a go at home?
We have loved our art printing topic this half term! Lots of beautiful prints! What did you enjoy experimenting with? Which potato print did you use?
Happy New Year and welcome back to Anansi class! We hope you have had a lovely break at home with family and friends. It has been great to hear from the class all of the exciting things you have been up to! We had a great time playing in the snow yesterday for our first day of term!
