Spring Art
Varjak Paws have been learning how to draw in perspective using horizon lines and vanishing points. We've also learnt how to use watercolours effectively to produce these fabulous paintings of spring tulip fields.
Red Nose Day 2021
Walkley contributed to Red Nose Day 2021 in our usual enthusiastic way! Mr. Butler's jokes were funny, lots of red was worn, quizzes were competed in, Malteasers were competitively scoffed and money was raised by our lovely families - thank you all for your generosity!
Our Varjak Paw community was awash with red!
Oh, my goodness! What a fantastic week back, all together in the same classroom.
Miss. Green, Mr. Rist and I have had such a great time being back with you - thank you for making it a really positive, optimistic start to learning together again.
Despite the 'changeable' weather, you were able to make use of our fresh outdoor spaces at breaktime, lunchtime and for PE. Well done for quickly learning how to move around the building safely - especially those 'proper' staircases!
On Friday, we celebrated 'Walkley World Book Day' and were honoured to receive visits from a couple of characters. The Scarecrow left a trail of straw across our new carpet, and Elsa's singing was something else (not entirely sure what, though...)
You talented lot also produced a beautifully-crafted selection of cards to celebrate a certain event coming up this Sunday.
Take a look;
