Spring 2

This week in maths we have been learning about the capacity of a container and the volume inside it. We found full/empty, half full, nearly full/empty and compared volumes of different containers. Some tried to trick us, if they were tall containers did they always hold more than shorter containers?

We have really enjoyed learning gymnastics this half term! Can you remember the different shape positions we have performed? (star, tuck, straddle, pike, dish, arch)

We hope you liked the cards which were sent home this week? We completed our DT project where we have researched, learned new skills, designed, made and evaluated our cards with moving parts. We used either a slider or a pivot and lever, which did you make?

Happy mother's day Anansi Mums! We hope you liked our printing art work which we had researched, practised, planned and created for you! Can you rememeber how you did it? What can you print with at home?

What a lovely day we have had today in Anansi Class.

We celebrated our favourite books and had fun with our costumes.

We explored our new Graphic Novel: Pablo and Splash, and had a go at making our own graphic novel / comic pages too.

In the afternoon the Y4 Charlies came downstairs to read with us.

Finally we opened up the Book Cafe and sat and explored some brand new books.

What a great day!
