Spring Week 5

We had a lovely time with Dazzle Dance Amy, at our first session in the dance studio. We moved like animals in the ‘Farm Ballet’, strutted some ‘cool’ moves, played the ‘Freeze Game’ & copied Amy’s moves to some of our favourite songs. 

Spring 2 Week 4

We had a great day fundraising for Comic Relief. We wore our red outfits, coloured some Red Nose Day pictures & found out a little about why we fund raise & where the money goes. We also took part in an obstacle course in the nursery outdoor area & a red nose treasure hunt. 

Spring 2 Week 3

This week, we have been exploring the story The Three Little Pigs. We have built our own houses out of straw, sticks & bricks to protect the pigs from the Big Bad Wolf. We have acted out parts of the story with small world characters, as well with our friends in the role play area & read many different versions of the tale. We've used our mathematics skills to focus on the number 3 & attempt to write some numerals on the doors of the pigs houses.

Spring 2 Week 2

We had a lovely day celebrating World Book Day. We made crowns, coloured fairytale pictures, shared stories & took part in the whole school Jackanory session. We acted out parts of traditional tales.

Spring 2 Week 1

Welcome back to another busy half term, we will be embarking on a variety of Amazing Adventures with the children. Our starting point for learning this half term is Traditional Tales, including Little Red Riding Hood & Goldilocks.

At the end of the week, we braved forest school in the wind, hail & snow! We played lots of games to keep warm, tried to catch snowflakes, used our senses to explore the environment & helped to rebuild the bug hotel.
