As part of our unit on printing, we used polystyrene to create relief blocks. We then overlaid them and experimented with colour and roatations. Use the links here and here to create your own at home.
In maths this week we have been learning about length and perimeter. We measure the playground using trundle wheels to calculate the perimeter or the top yard and the basketball court.

This week in computing, we have been programming code to make our own joke programs. We thought of knock knock jokes and then programmed characters to say the joke to each other. You can see the example here so you can practice at home!
In art, we used the printing blocks that we created in forest school to make repeated patterns. We changed the alignment and colour of the print to create varied and interesing patterns and motifs.

As part of our art work on printmaking, we used natural materials to create printing blocks in the forest school. We will use these to create repeated prints next week. Use the video to create your own at home.

We are saying goodbye to our Rainforest topic and moving on to Ancient Greece. The Borrowers have completed their informative reports about sloths and made clear and inviting posters to show all that they have learned.
In English, we are now learning about Greek Myths. We have started to learn one version of the myth of how Medusa became a outcast and a monster. We will be using this myth to write character descriptions.

Welcome back Borrowers! We have started the summer term with some sunny tennis! We practised how to use the bats safely and how to blanace the ball, as well as gently tapping the ball upwards, using control.
In citizenship, we are learning about how to stay safe online. We discussed adults that we might come into contact with and what resposibility those adults might have, with regards to our safety. The children discussed who had responsibility and were very sensible in discussing their own safety and autonomy.
