We are saying goodbye to our Rainforest topic and moving on to Ancient Greece. The Borrowers have completed their informative reports about sloths and made clear and inviting posters to show all that they have learned.

In English, we are now learning about Greek Myths. We have started to learn one version of the myth of how Medusa became a outcast and a monster. We will be using this myth to write character descriptions.

Based on a story by Lin and Don Donn - https://ancienthistory.mrdonn.org/myths.html, used with permission. Medusa and Athena - Ancient Greek Goddesses - Greek Mythology In later myths (mainly in Ovid) Medusa was the only Gorgon to possess snake locks because they were a punishment from Athena.

Week 1

Well done to our Golden Book winners of the week. You are all super stars and we are extremely proud of you!

Welcome back Borrowers! We have started the summer term with some sunny tennis! We practised how to use the bats safely and how to blanace the ball, as well as gently tapping the ball upwards, using control.

In citizenship, we are learning about how to stay safe online. We discussed adults that we might come into contact with and what resposibility those adults might have, with regards to our safety. The children discussed who had responsibility and were very sensible in discussing their own safety and autonomy.
