A huge well done to our advanced cheerleaders as they performed their final routine to all KS2 children and parents this week. Thank you Amy, for all your hard work and brilliant routines taught to our wonderful cheerleaders!
In PE this week, the children have been getting active with Athletics! From sprint races to relay fun, everyone has been giving their all and showing fantastic teamwork. It's been amazing to see their energy, determination, and big smiles as they challenged themselves and cheered each other on. The children enjoyed learning about how slow and steady can win the race! It is fair to say the children needed a long drink at the end of the lesson and so did Miss Jan!
GUIDED READING
This week in class, we've been diving into the magical world of Blackberry Blue! The children have been bringing the stories to life by stepping into the roles of narrators and actors. From mysterious forests to brave heroes, they’ve been exploring every twist and turn with energy and imagination. Want to hear the magic for yourself? You can listen to some of their wonderful performances below and enter a world of magic and transformation..
A Hoppy Easter Surprise!
What a treat for us SunKings—this Easter, we had a special visit from none other than the Easter Bunny! Not only did everyone receive a delicious Easter egg, but we’re also lucky enough to enjoy two extra days off. We hope everyone has a safe, relaxing break with plenty of rest… ready to bounce back into school on Tuesday!
SCIENCE
This week in Science, we launched into space to learn all about the solar system! The children combined their creativity with their knowledge by using oil pastels to design their very own solar systems. It was an exciting blend of Science and Art, and the classroom was bursting with colour, imagination, and planetary fun. The children had an amazing time bringing the cosmos to life!
Birthdays are always special in our class, and we love celebrating each and every one! Whether it's singing, cards, or sharing smiles, we make sure everyone feels extra loved on their big day. Your special day is a special day for us too! Happy Birthday!

COMPUTING
OH Crumbles..
In Computing we have been using a new software called ‘Crumbles’
They children enjoyed connecting circuits and seeing what works and what doesn’t. After connecting the circuits the children used the Chromebook's to use the software to program the circuits.
As a class we wanted to spread some positivity so we spent some of our afternoon using paint to make handprints on positive affirmations.
These came out brilliantly and the children were smiling and giggling as it was nice to see everyone spreading around some positivity!
Ask the children if they can spot where Miss Jan has put these pieces of art work around the classroom.

GEOGRAPHY
As a continuation of our transport topic in Geography we went down to our local tram stop to conduct a transport survey. As well as using a tally chart to count how many different types of vehicles we saw, we also got many friendly drivers honking at us which was just the encouragement we needed!
