Buddhist centre- The year 4s went to the Budhist centre to learn more about the religion. They looked at special items and even did some meditation!
GEOGRAPHY - The children were working in groups of 6 to distinguish the difference and similarities between the Taiga biome and the deciduous forest.
ART- The Charlies did a fantastic job creating colour wheels with primary, secondary and tertiary colours.
Art- The Charlies have been learning about Gee's Bend quilts. Here we drew some symmetrical shapes and used contrasting colours. Aren't they lovely?
Forest School - Science- discovering insects! Year 4 Charlies and Foxes analysed, classified and drew the insects that they found in the forest.
GIRL'S TAG RUGBY TOURNAMENT - 6 year 4 girls went and played amazing as a team at Forge Valley. They were excellent Walkley ambassadors! They showed determination, resilience and teamwork!
Literacy - the Charlies are reading, analysing and will be writing their own nonsense poem inspired by Lewis Carol's Jabberwocky poem! See below for a video of the poem!

Art- The Charlies have created wonderful art inspired by the Gee's Bend quilts. Aren't they amazing? You can see the focal points and the symmetry in them!
