Summer 2

Arches Games

What an amazing day we had at the Arches Games! From splashing in the pool, to showing off our moves in Parkour, everyone gave it their all with a range of activities from golf, tag-rugby, cycling, boxing, basketball, stackcups and even cricket!

The sun was blazing, but that didn’t slow us down! A huge well done to all the children for giving their everything all day. You made us all proud with your teamwork, enthusiasm, and determination.

Baking Bread

We have started our bread-making journey this week. Children have engaged in discussions around the process of making bread, watched a demonstration and made notes ahead of thinking about their own designs next week. Children will get the opportunity to bake their own designs in the coming weeks.

Crucial Crew

Today, all the Year 6 children went on a trip to Crucial Crew at the Lifewise Centre in Rotherham. The centre comprises of a film-set environment featuring different locations such as a court room, a supermarket, houses, a road and a park. The children took part in a number of different interactive scenarios covering topics on road safety, anti-social behaviour, water safety, hate and knife crime, fire safety and child exploitation. All the children engaged really well in the different scenarios and have definitely learned a lot about keeping themselves and others safe. Well done for representing Walkley so well Year 6 - we were all very proud of you.
