We started our half term with a very exciting visit from Evil Pea, The Super Veggies and Supertato. Evil Pea has been up to mischief and needing our help. We have made 'wanted posters' to describe him so everyone know what he looks like. The Caterpillars have been building traps, sending out search parties and are fully committed to catching him.
Maths
We have been recapping our numberbonds using Rekenreks. The Caterpillars know how to use them and are good as seeing numberbonds to 5 very quickly using the coloured beads.
Understanding the World
Our caterpillars built their chrysalises and turned into beautiful butterflies. They were very quickly named Eric and Carle to celebrate our class author. We chatted about how to look after them and decided the best thing to do would be to release them into the wild. What an amazing class pet. It has been great to watch their life cycle.
