Y5 Bouldering Competition Finals 28.4.24
On Thursday 28th, the Year 5 bouldering team took part in the Primary Bouldering Finals. Mr Jones accompanied the children and was very proud of their efforts and the resilience they displayed in what were some very tricky climbs. The children really enjoyed the challenge and were all presented with medals for taking part. Well done team!

On Thursday 23rd June 2023 some Year 5s and 6s were selected to represent our school at the Arches Partnership Games at Concord Sports center. This was a fantastic day out where children excitedly took part in a variety of different sports across the site. These included: Tag Rugby, Swimming, Cricket, Cycling, Tri Golf, Team Games, Gymnastics, Basketball and Boxing.
COLOUR SMASH RUN
On Thursday 15th June 2023, some Year 3s and 4s took part in a Colour Smash Run at Don Valley Bowl. This was a new and exciting running event where the children ran around a 300m track and powdered paint was thrown towards them. The children were fantastic and had lots of fun (as did the staff) as you can see from the photos!
A massive well done to our Year 5 and 6 pupils who took part in the bouldering competition last night at the Mini Climbing Works. All children supported each other well and were a true pleasure to be with. There were some tricky climbs but we made lots of successful climbs. Thank you for representing our school so well.

Octagon Dance Peformance 2022 with Year 5/6 Cheerleading Club
KS2 Welcomed back Dazzle Dance Amy this week with some very energetic zumba outside on the Tennyson Yards! Well done KS2 for giving it your everything and Amy for delivering such fun sessions!
March 2020 - Today the Y5/6 and Y4 Walkley cheer clubs made us proud at a Cheer leading competition. We came an amazing 4th and 7th! Well Done KS2 Children!
March 2020 - We were lucky enough to take 10 Y5's to Ice Sheffield today where we had a go at some Ice skating, Curling and High Ropes. Lots of new experiences for most of the children!
Y3/4 Handball Competition - January 2020 - A fantastic team effort from both our children and grown ups, well done Walkley!
Year 5/6 Bouldering Competition - January 2020. We took it in turns to climb the routes to gain points. Superb Walkley Effort.
Y5/6 Athletics competition - November 2019. We came 4th with only 4 points to 3rd. It was amazing to see the Y5 & 6's encouraging each other in such high spirits.

The Walkley Champions - Upper Key Stage 2 Football Team
Walkley Gardening Club get their hands dirty.
This lunchtime Miss Goff's Gardening Club got to work in the KS2 Quadrangle. It's great to see the children getting their hands dirty and preparing for the winter months to come.
Yoga Club - Autumn Term 1 2018
Yoga club has begun today in Burnaby Hall with 6 eager participants. What a great way to start your day, we're sure the club will grow over the coming weeks.
Arches Partnership Games at Concord 21st June 2018
All the children and adults had a fantastic day at Concord Leisure Centre. Activities that the children enjoyed included:
- Girls football
- Boys football
- Tag Rugby
- Tri Golf
- Trial sports
- Cooking
- Ice Skating
- Badminton
- Netball
- Outdoor adventure activities
- Swimming
- Cricket
Some activities were taster sessions and some were competitive. Results of note were:
- Finishing 4th out of 25 schools in the Girls football.
- Semi-finalists (although should have been finalists after a controversial disallowed try) in Y5/6 Tag rugby.

Walkley's Advanced Cheerleaders at the Octagon
On Thursday evening (26th April) our advanced cheerleading team performed at the Octagon theatre as part of the ARCHES Dance Extravaganza. They were absolutely superb!
