Year 5 & 6 Craft Club
Some final products of our pufferfish/duck lanterns. After spending two weeks wrapping balloons in tissue paper and PVA glue we added some final touches including string, eyes, spikes and fairy lights. These lanterns are now ready to be enjoyed in their new homes. Great effort everyone!

Basketball Competition
10/10/24
10 Year 4 pupils were lucky enough to represent Walkley Primary School at a basketball competition on Thursday. They played a total of 9 matches against other schools across Sheffield coming in 7th out of 9 teams. Miss Kendall and Miss Hargreaves were very impressed by their resilience, perseverance and positivity throughout the competition. Along with some excellent shots in the hoops, the Y4s were extremely supportive of each other and showed excellent sportsmanship towards other teams. Go Walkley!
We have several new and many continuing clubs this term including Chess Club and Science Club. In Chess Club the children are already mastering the strategy aspects of the game.
On Thursday 28th, the Year 5 bouldering team took part in the Primary Bouldering Finals. Mr Jones accompanied the children and was very proud of their efforts and the resilience they displayed in what were some very tricky climbs. The children really enjoyed the challenge and were all presented with medals for taking part. Well done team!
On Thursday 23rd June 2023 some Year 5s and 6s were selected to represent our school at the Arches Partnership Games at Concord Sports center. This was a fantastic day out where children excitedly took part in a variety of different sports across the site. These included: Tag Rugby, Swimming, Cricket, Cycling, Tri Golf, Team Games, Gymnastics, Basketball and Boxing.
On Thursday 15th June 2023, some Year 3s and 4s took part in a Colour Smash Run at Don Valley Bowl. This was a new and exciting running event where the children ran around a 300m track and powdered paint was thrown towards them. The children were fantastic and had lots of fun (as did the staff) as you can see from the photos!
Walkley Gardening Club get their hands dirty.
This lunchtime Miss Goff's Gardening Club got to work in the KS2 Quadrangle. It's great to see the children getting their hands dirty and preparing for the winter months to come.
Yoga Club - Autumn Term 1 2018
Yoga club has begun today in Burnaby Hall with 6 eager participants. What a great way to start your day, we're sure the club will grow over the coming weeks.

Walkley's Advanced Cheerleaders at the Octagon
On Thursday evening (26th April) our advanced cheerleading team performed at the Octagon theatre as part of the ARCHES Dance Extravaganza. They were absolutely superb!
