I was so impressed with the astronaut work last week. Well done everyone.

This week we are having a go at drawing a rocket.  I wonder if this will come in handy in the next few weeks...

Tuesday Science

This week we will be learning the names of the parts of the human body. Watch the BBC Bitesize video and then try to label the body (sheets are below the video). You can choose to label a boy or girl (the labels are the same).

Another fun task you could do outside (if it is dry) is to draw around somebody in chalk and then label their outline. Upload your work to the link below.

Wednesday Computing

So last week we had a sneaky go at clicking and holding using a mouse or a touchscreen.  Well done everyone.

Now lots of people (teachers as well) think coding is really scary, but it's actually just making sure your instructions are really clear.

Here are my instructions today.

Load up level 1

Follow the instructions and get the squirrel to the acorn

Load up level 2

Follow more instructions and get the squirrel to the acorn

Load up level 3

Get BB8 to collect all the scrap metal.

All of the year 1 Children are great at using a touch screen, but it's a lot trickier using a touchpad or a mouse.  If possible please have a go doing a left click with a mouse!
