It's time for you to put your learning to use to decide which operation to use and come up with an answer to a problem. Remember to include the 'unit' - are you talking about bananas, pencils, rabbits, children, chairs, or what?
We're going to begin this week by recapping Friday's learning, before we move on to dividing 3- and 4-digit numbers by a single-digit number.
Have another look at the video (link below) and then have a go at the tasks. Please don't forget to share your work with us using the Google form.

I'd like us to spend Thursday honing our short-division skills. There's another short video, containing some clarification and then some tasks for you to practice the method.

Today, we're going to start looking at 'short' multiplication for dividing by a single-digit number. We'll begin today using place value counters and drawing, but you might feel ready to move on to a more 'abstract' method without using these.
The video will guide you through the methods. Please remember to share your work with us on the Google form.

So, we're now going to investigate dividing 3- and 4-digit numbers by a single-digit number using place value counters. The method is identical to the one we've used for dividing 2-digit numbers by a single-digit number - check out the video to see an example of dividing a 3-d and a 4-d number.
After this, we'll be looking at using written methods to complete these calculations. Please remember to share with us using the Google form. We can't wait to see it!
