How we Assess Design and Technology at Walkley

Where learning is evidenced in books, remember tos will identify the key steps of learning in the lesson. Pupils will self-assess against these remember tos and staff will mark the pupils work indicating their agreement with the pupil’s own self-assessment. The final product design will also be evidence either in the work book or on the class website page.

 

Design and Technology learning is captured through a combination of work in books and photographic or video evidence on the class website pages. Key Stage two pupils will predominantly capture their sequence of learning in individual work books.

 

Teachers will also use observations during practical elements of the sequence of learning to inform their teacher assessments.
