Happy Half Term Elmers!
Well, it's the end of the first half term in Elmers. The children have had a lovely week this week learning all about Diwali - The Festival of Light. We have been making salt dough diva lamps and using lots of sparkles to decorate them with Mrs Laver.
You can find out lots more about what the children have been learning about by following the link below.
Mrs English has also had the pleasure of joining the Elmers this week. They have given her a wonderful welcome to their class and she is very much looking forward to spending more time with them over the next few weeks.
Finally, here are some pictures of our learning this week
Have a great holiday!
Week 4
What a wonderful week in Elmer's! We have been learning all about Autumn. The children have brought in objects related to Autumn like conkers, apples, pinecones and leaves. They have also been painting tress and sewing leaves. Look at the amazing photos below!
Week 1
Wow! What a great first week in Elmers! We have had a lot of fun playing outside and inside. Also, we have been reading some Elmer stories, playing some Circle Time games to help us with our talking and singing some counting songs. Have a look at the photos below to see what fun we have had!
Week 2
What a week it has been! As you can see by the photos, we have had an action packed week. Counting up to 10, playing counting games, introducing ourselves to Elmer, painting , having food at the cafe, going on a picnic - I feel exhausted!
Week 3
This week, we have talked about in Elmer's and being kind to each other and following our Golden Rules.
Also , the children have been mixed paint together using different materials.
Next week, we are learning about Autumn and it would be great if the children could bring in things related to Autumn eg conkers, leaves, apples etc
