Forest School

In the forest this week, we have been creating gateways to other worlds, as might be found in S.F. Said's Tyger.

Bikeability

As has become an annual rite-of-passage, the Y6s have been mastering their control on a bike and undertsanding of how to stay safe on the roads with Bikeability.

Happy to be moving on to the glockenspeils!

We have brought out the glockenspeils today - don't they sound amazing?

Watercolours

In Art, we have been looking at the first world war through the eyes of British artist, Paul Nash. His works shows how the war impacted nature as well as people.

In Reading, we have been studying the poem 'The Tyger' by William Blake.

Programming with micro:bits

We have explored how to program simple computers (micro:bits) to follow basic algorythms. Children coded a set of instructions on the Chromebooks before downloading them to their micro:bit devices.

So HAPPY to be back!

We've had a great start to Year 6 in Kensukes and have started to learn how to sing a song to celebrate that.

Happy
