Art – Printing
We have been looking at printers and designers such as William Morris and Molly Mohan. This inspired us to create our own printing blocks from patterns in nature. We have been printing on different materials and using different printing inks. Here are some of our final designs.

Well Done to all of the Y5/6 Cheerleaders for their performance at The Octagon! Although it was nerve-racking and there was a slight music error at the start you all absolutely smashed it! You have all worked so hard and definitely made Walkley proud!
On Monday 24th April, five Y5 girls had the opportunity to go to the EIS for some Girls Football Leadership training inspired by the Women’s World Cup happening this Summer. The girls learnt what it takes to be a good leader, different football activites and how they can encourage more girls to play football back at school. The children are in the progress of having discussions with our School Council and are planning on setting up some girls football taster sessions to encourage girls at Walkley to play more football which will then hopefully lead to Walkley's very own Football team.
