WORLD BOOK DAY
Happy Thursday Year 4,
Today is WORLD BOOK DAY!!!
We're going to take a little break from our playscripts and have a go at watching some videos and trying some different activities based around reading today. If you haven’t already please read this weeks guided reading all about this special day.
When we are all back together we will be celebrating World Book Day in school too so why don't you make a few notes about what you do today ready to share with your classmates.
1) First at 10:30AM today you can listen live and share stories with ‘Books that make you LOL’
2) Secondly, I would like you to listen to some authors sharing their books with you. Find a comfy place to sit, listen and enjoy. You can discuss these books with a parent or a friend. You might even want to go and buy the book and continue reading it!
3) Check out the amazing World Book Day Website HERE. On here are amazing FREE audiobooks, FREE lessons and fantastic FREE activities.
Search the website to find activities and extracts based around your favourite book or one you've read at home. I've attached a few examples below which I know are well liked books in Year 4!
