Throughout the school year and within cross-curricular themes, pupils will enquire and discuss the issues of Personal, Social and Health Education.
Integrated RSHE and online safety within Computing Programme of Study
Although E-safety education sits within the Computing Programmes of Study (compulsory since September 2014) there are many behavioural aspects to the digital lives of children and young people that are clearly part of their personal, social and health education.
The PSHE Association Programme of Study is based on the needs of today’s pupils and prepares them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of life. It is based on three core themes:
1. Health and Wellbeing
3. Living in the Wider World
Walkley, in partnership with other Sheffield schools, has adopted a PSHE driven focus within it's Citizenship curriculum which encourages appropriate behaviour and citizenship and embraces opportunities for online safety discussion and learning through the Whole school Core RSHE themes.
