Hello and Welcome back to all our pupils and families. We are so looking forward to the opportunities we have to fully use our new school facilities and to see all our pupils playing and learning together.
Thank you for your wonderful support.
It's been Disney Day at Walkley this afternoon as we all said our farewells to Mrs Jinkinson. Having worked at Walkley in different roles for over 29 years, it will be very difficult to say goodbye. We are very aware of Mrs Jinkinson's love for all things Disney so the staff and pupils all dressed in red, white and black (Minnie Mouse colours) to give her a special day.
With her Disney throne under the necessary shade on this hot day, pupils visited our special guest and sang songs and gave special messages. It's fair to say Mrs J was very touched indeed.
In a special assembly this morning, Mrs Sian shared what an important role Mrs Jinkinson has played at Walkley over the years and how she is always at the centre of things. But then, someone with such a big heart could only ever be.
So we thank you for your service to the community Linda, for all your efforts to support the children and families of Walkley. And from us, the staff, know that we will miss you so very much and thank you for caring for us, always.
