The Wardens have been out again today to remind parents about considerate parking. 3 tickets were issued with polite reminders to parents.
The children are very proud that there has been a significant reduction in tickets being issued and we thank you for your positive encouragement as you pass by in the morning or after school.
South Yorkshire Police have written an article about the combined effort between SYP and Walkley Primary School to combat illegal and inconsiderate parking. Read it here:

Good morning. Thank you so much for your positive comments to the pupils and staff out on patrol over the last 2 days. It really means a lot to know you are supportive of the work being done by the pupils, parents and staff to safeguard our community.
An update on progress today: Unfortunately, our Junior Patrol Officers a.k.a. Walkley Wardens had to issue 10 Polite Notices to parents this morning. Please remember:
'Hello, we are the School Council team. This year we are working on improving letting children's voices be heard by school council and teaching staff. We want to make everything fair for everyone, no matter how big or small you are we will always be there for you. We will be working with Mrs Sian, Mr Wallis, Mrs Jinkinson and Mr Clements and we will be looking forward to working with you. Thank you for reading, goodbye.'

Many thanks parents for your fabulous feedback and encouragement for our new Walkley Wardens who this morning accompanied Amy Lees PCSO on patrol, looking for inconsiderate and dangerous parking. In total 6 Polite notices were issued to drivers who left their car in an inconsiderate or illegal space this morning.
We have overwhelming support from our parents, pupils, staff and governors and we will continue to challenge (politely) those who continue to put lives at risk in the name of lateness or laziness.
Many thanks for your support on this very important matter.
