  We are delighted to inform you of the incredible total raised at the Walkley Primary School Summer Fayre. Thank you to our Friends of Walkley supporters, staff and pupils for all your combined efforts. Working together we have raised a staggering amount of money to support the wider curriculum at Walkley. Congratulations everybody.

• Y5 and Y6 Open Evening at King Edward VII Upper School

  On October 1st next school year, parents of Y5 and Y6 pupils are invited to an Open evening at King Edward VII Upper School between 6.00pm and 8.00pm. 

  

• KS2 Sports Day

  This afternoon it's the turn of our KS2 pupils. Please make your way to the designated seating at the bottom of the playground near the stage or the seating on the top yard under the canopy. Enjoy the afternoon.

• Pre-school MMR vaccinations

  Sheffield City Council are encouraging parents and guardians to book children's pre-school vaccinations before they go on a summer holiday to prevent the disease from spreading. 

  There is currently an outbreak of measles across the country. They want to make sure that all pre-school children are vaccinated before they start school this September.

  Children should have 2 doses of their MMR vaccine, this quite often is not the case for one reason or another.

  There is no specific antiviral treatment for measles. Vaccination is the only way to prevent the disease.

  Many thanks to everyone for your participation, organisation and support of the Walkley Primary School Summer Fayre. Blessed with wonderful weather and a magnitude of activities and events; things to see and do, a great time was had by all. So much effort goes into putting on such an event and with every passing year the fayre grows in stature and support. It remains a very significant part of the school year. Congratulations to the event organisers made up of parents and staff working together to deliver this for the families of Walkley. Here are some pictures captured on the day.
