• Chinese Dancing Day at Walkley

  It's been an exciting day across school as Amy from Dazzle Dance has worked with the children to choreograph Chinese dancing. All the children have had a great day and Amy was suitably exhausted. Well done everyone. Click here to see a video of the dancing that took place in Burnaby.

   

  

• Violin Performance for Y4 and Y5/Y6 Pathways

  What an amazing performance from our Year 4 pupils and the pupils in the Y5 and Y6 pathways groups for parents on Thursday. Please take a look at the videos here

   

  One appreciative parent contacted school to say:

   

  I had the privilege of attending the “half year” violin recital last Thursday. I am a “non-musician”, but maybe if I had been exposed to a quality experience such as led by your music teacher, Dave, it could have been a different story.

  Please congratulate Dave on his skill and enthusiasm in engaging so many young people, some of whom I am sure will be launched onto a lifetime interest in music and its performance as a result of his efforts.

• Chinese New Year Art Competition Winners

  Children from Walkley Primary have entered an art competition, organised by the Confucius Institute at the University of Sheffield, to celebrate Chinese New Year. We are so impressed with the work children have produced, which has made our task of selecting winners from each Key stage category very difficult! We are delighted to inform you of the artwork selected as one of the winning entries in their category.

  Winning art work from each school is being displayed at a special Sheffield Chinese New Year Show and will be entered into a city-wide competition judged by the Confucius Institute.

   

   

  The show will take place on Wednesday 6^th February at Sheffield City Hall. Here are the 9 prize winning pieces selected to represent Walkley Primary School at the city wide competition:
